Which training is right for me?
We have structure our training into 4 individual programs, which operates somewhat hierarchically:
Beginners/Intermediate
Our first training is our Beginners/Intermediate training. The beginners program is suitable for new players who have no experience at all – our experienced coaches will guide you through our 12 week program designed to teach you all the basic skills, rules of the game, and introduce you to gameplay. Our intermediate program is the follow on, designed to teach you advanced skills, rotations, and get you comfortable with playing as a team! We recommend our beginners program for people with 0-6 months experience, and the intermediate program for those with 6-18 months experience. If you would like to join a team (recommended!) we will place you in an Open League division C or B team, with players of similar experience.
Open League
Our second training is our Open League training. This is for players that know all the basic skills, can play in rotation, and would like to play competitively. Typically, players have 1 to 3 years experience before joining this program, but it all depends on where you’re at! This program teaches you advanced rotations, advanced skills, and works on improving your volleyball gameplay. Participants must take part in an Open League team in either division A or B, which you will be placed in dependent on skill level, experience, and position.
CVL
Our third training is our CVL training, which is for players that are in one of our CVL teams, the top level in the ACT. Players typically have a minimum of 2-3 years of volleyball experience before joining a CVL team or have been playing at the state league level elsewhere. The competition runs on Sundays and these are competitive teams which you must attend training to be a part of. If you’re interested in joining CVL, please feel free to come along to a training to talk to a coach, or send us a Facebook message or email!
